LoCo Motion Pictures is an independent production company based in Toronto, Ontario. The company produces audience-driven content for all platforms with a focus on digital storytelling and also distributes digital productions. Founded in 2015, LoCo Motion Pictures is headed by producer and entertainment lawyer, Lauren Corber. Lauren is an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre's Cineplex Entertainment Producers’ Lab, the NSI’s Totally Television Program, the WIFT-T Development Incubator, and the Bell Media Executive Producer Accelerator Lab.

Lauren Corber is an International Emmy-nominated producer and the founder/president of LoCo Motion Pictures. One of Canada’s leading digital content producers, Lauren has produced several series including International Emmy nominee, How to Buy a Baby. The series won a Canadian Screen Award for best Short Form Series and Best Comedy at the Indie Series Awards, Best Writing and Best Lead Performance at the International Academy of Web Television Awards and has been invited to screen at festivals in Canada, the US, Asia and Europe. She also produced two seasons of the Canadian Screen Award-winning CBC comedy, My 90-Year-Old Roommate starring Paul Soles (Spider-Man) that has over 1 million views.
LoCo’s latest production, KidScreen Award winner and Canadian Screen Award-nominated tween series, Detention Adventure released its second season on CBC Gem and HBO Max. Up next is digital comedy series, The Communist’s Daughter which won the Just for Laugh’s ComedyPro Stand Up ‘N Pitch competition in 2018 and just released its first season on CBC Gem, bringing home the hattrick as LoCo’s third win in as many years.
A recovering entertainment lawyer, Lauren is a member of the Board of Directors of the CMPA and an alumnus of the CFC Producer’s Lab. She has been a panelist at several events including PrimeTime, All Access, and the Toronto Screenwriting Conference to lend her unique expertise on producing in the digital space.
Lauren is an alumnus of the CFC Producer’s Lab, NSI’s Totally Television, WIFT-T’s Development Incubator, Bell Media’s Executive Producer Accelerator Lab and TIFF’s Pitch This! and is currently participating in the Banff Spark Accelerator.
